DEERING GARDENERS NEEDED!
Great News! The Deering Conservation Commission received a wonderful gift of
800 Free Daffodil Bulbs
for the beautification of the Town! The bulbs are expected to arrive around October 1. Just imagine how beautiful our Town Center will look amid drifts of golden Daffodils next Spring!
We are asking you to join a town-wide effort to get them all planted. Many hands will make short shrift of this! Please reserve the morning of Saturday, October 10
for our Community Bulb-Planting! Meet your neighbors, make new friends, and get some exercise while doing something for Deering that will delight all of us for many years to come. An ordinary long-handled shovel is all you need. If you have a long-handled bulb planter, by all means bring it! We will provide bulbs, bulb food, instructions and refreshments.
To volunteer for the Community Bulb Planting, please send an e-mail to Ed Cobbett, Chairman of the Deering Conservation Commission at geoserve@tds.net, or to Pia Sunderland at psunderland@tds.net . We will send you a reminder in the second
half of September.
Hope to see you October 10!
