On June 16, 2010 the Board of Selectmen motioned to petition the Superior Court to hold a Special Town Meeting on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 6:30 pm to authorize the town to raise and appropriate $125,000 (ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS) to acquire the remaining 20 years of the lease of the property owned by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests also known as Camp Tuckernuck at Map 234 Lot 1 of the Town of Deering Tax Maps.
