Subject: Monthly Report
This month’s report will cover the period from 1 September to 30 September 2006 inclusive.
The Deering Fire and Rescue responded to 10 calls during the month of September, including a motor vehicle accident that required the response of DHART to airlift a patient.
All of the apparatus have been inspected and none of the vehicles required major repairs. However, all of the apparatus are in need of oil changes which will need to take place during inspection in March of 2007.
Training for the month consisted of water rescue evolutions to further acquaint our members in the operation of the Rescue Boat. We practiced evacuating patients from two of the islands. With the rest of our equipment having arrived the Boat is now fully in service.
In other activities during the month, Tanker One attended a parade in Antrim as part of their Fall festivities. Several of our members along with the Explorers gave demonstrations at the Deering Community Church Chicken BBQ at the Fish and Game club on September 16th.
Firefighter Ron Gleason, Assistant Chief Pragoff, Deputy Chief Ladue and I attended the dedication of the Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial at the New Hampshire Fire Academy on Sunday, September 10th. Engine Two participated in the Parade preceding the event.
The Fire and Rescue Call Summary and Apparatus Report for the month of September are attached.
