NEWS:.
1. Chief Pushee tested a Chevy Impala police package vehicle borrowed from the Sheriff’s Office in preparation for budget season, to see if this vehicle platform may or may not be a suitable alternative choice for replacing the Ford CVPI in 2007.
TRAINING:
1. Ofc. Murphy continues in Field Training
2. Deering PD, accompanied by Bennington, trained in night/dim light tactics and firearms.
GRANTS:
1. HSA Speed Enforcement Grant: We have received this reimbursement and this grant is closed.
2. HSA Video Unit Grant: Video system is installed and being used. Submitted invoices for payment and are awaiting the return of the cancelled check in order to request the grant reimbursement...
3. HSA DWI Enforcement Grant: We are continuing to work these Fri/Sat/Holiday nighttime DWI enforcement patrol overtime shifts. This grant is scheduled through September 15, for a total of 60 hours of overtime patrols.
4. LAPTOP COMPUTER: In July I received a used Panasonic Toughbook Laptop computer from another PD at no cost. This needs to be “reprogrammed” by Steve Vigeant, but this task has not fit his schedule yet. (new laptop computer costs $2500+, value used about $500+).
5. PRELIMINARY BREATH TESTER: I just received an additional PBT Device through the grant program from last year. Value of $500.00+.

DPD Call Outs 5 (Noise Complaint, Ass. Other Town (man with gun), Ass. Other Town (homicide investigation), Involuntary Admission (suicide threat), Criminal Mischief).
MV Enforcement: 187 (166 warns, 22 Summons, 81 of these stops were for speeding, 22 citations for parking control at beach area)
MV Accidents: 3 (2 were non-reportable in deering, also assisted HPD in 1 reportable)
