MONTHLY REPORT January 2008
NEWS:
1. Officer Parsons is doing well with Field Training.
2. We have received 9-10 applications for Part Time Position, and have scheduled testing for March 1, 2008.
3. Chief Pushee prepared and submitted State Annual Reports, PSTC Annual Reports, and Town Annual Reports.
4. Chief Pushee located a used RADAR from Washington PD which will replace an older, faulty unit.
TRAINING:
1. Chief Pushee has created a tentative “training schedule” for 2008.
2. Conducted in-house required Annual Use-of-Force Classroom Training for FY2008, and this class included Bennington PD and Washington PD.
GRANTS:
1. Highway Safety: Chief Pushee is working these 4-hour traffic speed enforcement grant patrols. He has worked 6 such patrols in January, resulting in almost 100 mv stops, several tickets, and several arrests.
ACTIVITY REPORT: Calls For Service Logged: 382
DPD Call Outs 27 (animal complaints, alarms, assists, criminal complaints, domestics, message deliveries, motorist assists, rescue calls, road hazards, warrant and arrest, etc).
MV Enforcement: 148 (137 warns, 7 summons, 4 arrests)
MV Accidents: 6 (3 reportable, 2 non-reportable, 1 gone on arrival)
