Deering Police Department Deering, NH 03244 |
MONTHLY REPORT February 2008
NEWS:
1. Officer Parsons has done well in all areas of Field Training, and I have scheduled him to work “solo” patrols starting this month (March 2008). He will be “telephonicall” supervised.
2. We had to reschedule our PartTime Testing from March 1st to March 8th due to the weather. We have five applicants that have indicated that they are planning to test, from the original 9 applications we received.
3. We have placed “in-service” a “new to us” Radar Unit received from Washington, PD, as well as a “new to us” refurbished “handheld” radar purchased for a minimal price. Both items will enhance the ability of our traffic enforcement endeavors. The handheld unit will also be available for use by any citizens wishing to assist with traffic surveys.
4. The PD has experienced significant and ongoing issues with suicidal subject and also with problems regarding tenants and former tenants at #102 Reservoir Rd.
TRAINING:
1. Chief Pushee conducted annual in-service/recertification for MEB Baton, for some members of Deering PD and Hillsboro PD. Due to a scheduling conflict, we will need to re-schedule for the remaining members of DPD.
2. Deering PD will be holding it’s annual in-service/recertification for OC Pepper Spray this month.
