MONTHLY REPORT                      MAY 2009

NEWS:
  • Ofc. Censabella has moved into the open Full Time Officer position.
  • Cadets worked several Public Service Events, including two (2) Hillsboro Pride Cleanup Days and assisting with traffic control for Fire Department Live-Burn training.
TRAINING:
  • Chief Pushee conducted the annual Baton Recertification Class for the Department and the Cadets.
  • Capt. Cavanaugh scheduled to attend PSTC Training in June.
  • Chief Pushee will be assisting PSTC with Full Time Recruit Academy Baton Class in June.
  • Annual Department Firearms Qualifications (NOT training) is scheduled for June.
GRANTS:  
  • Speed Enforcement Patrols Grant:  We continue working these directed enforcement patrols in 4 hour blocks during commuter hours, per NH Highway Safety Agency grant.
  • DWI Regional Saturation Patrol Grants:  We have been approved through NH Highway Safety to assist in Statewide directed DWI Enforcement Patrols for 3 weekends over the summer months (June, July, and August).
  • DWI Enforcement Patrols Grant:  We have been approved and have started our own Directed DWI Enforcement Grant to target DWI Drivers (90 hours of overtime (secondary officer), through NH Highway Safety).
  • OHRV Enforcement Patrols:  Now that the rail trail is re-opening for wheeled OHRV use we have begun using the remaining OHRV Directed Enforcement grant patrols.  These expire on June 30th, and due to F&G Dept. budget cuts, we have not been approved for an extension of this program into the 2009-2010 seasons.
