The following link will show you the result of the 'Coin Toss' that was held Thursday, March 12, 2009 for the position of Selectman Coin Toss Results
On Wednesday, March 18, 2009 beginning at 6:00pm, Deering Town Officials held a recount for the seat of Selectman, which was challenged by incumbent Daniel Donovan. The results of the recount confirmed the original vote count, 160 votes for Daniel Donovan and 160 votes for John Greene. Therefore, the result of the coin toss holds and John Greene was sworn in as Selectman following the recount.
