NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING AMENDMENTS

Notice is hereby given in accordance with RSA 675:7 that the Deering Planning Board will hold a public hearing on January 13, 2020, at a meeting beginning at 7:00 PM at the Deering Town Hall located at 762 Deering Center Road, Deering, NH on proposed revisions to the Deering Zoning Ordinance. The revisions were prepared by the Planning Board and the effect of the proposed amendments would be to: 1. Repeal and replace the current Article 4, Section 5, Watershed Protection Ordinance with a new Article 4, Section 5, Watershed Protection Ordinance. The effect of the proposed amendment would be to clearly define the Planning Board’s role in issuing a Conditional Use Permit (CUP), provide clarity on the CUP application process, and outline various standards pertaining to the development of land within the Watershed Protection Overlay District.

Due to the State of Emergency declared by Governor Sununu, and in response to Emergency Orders #12 and #23 of Executive Order 2020-04, the Planning Board is authorized to meet electronically. There is no physical location in which to observe and listen contemporaneously to this meeting. We will be utilizing zoom.us for an electronic meeting. All members of the Planning Board have the ability to contemporaneously during this meeting; the public has access to listen contemporaneously and if necessary, to participate in this meeting.
