Thank You- Queen City Roofing

Thank-you Queen City Roofing! On a very cold blustery day at the end of March, the intrepid crew of Deering-based Queen City Roofing took down the old chimney and re-shingled the historic 210+ year old schoolhouse.  Despite the weather, they did a beautiful job, adding to the restoration efforts of the building.    The Trustees of Deering Public Library are grateful to Queen City Roofing for their superior work – we are fortunate to have such generous neighbors.

Since the fall, the schoolhouse has had electrical work to update wiring; new lighting installed; and a small stove purchased to assist with heat.  Stay tuned for more improvements as the Trustees work towards making the building safe and accessible to the public once again.
